    Description

    The link to make this a rheostat has not been connected so until then the unit is a potentiometer (3 terminals).  Starting at full CCW the resistance is zero.  The next half-turn is 3 Ohms rated for 12 Amps.  The next 3/8th turn adds 25 Ohms rated for about 2.5 Amps.  The last 1/8th turn adds 69 Ohms rated for 0.26 Amps.  This approximates a logarithmic increase of resistance.
    A usage example might be a DC motor armature wired in series with this rheostat.  Motor current would increase as rheostat moves CCW.
    The small "Tobacco" bag contains electrical connections screw parts.  Shaft for the knob is 3/8" with a flat on one side.
